About us

We are the Together Trust. We’re a charity that has been championing the rights, needs and ambitions of looked-after children, people with disabilities, autism and complex health needs for 150 years.

Our vision is a society where people thrive because they are valued within their communities.

For over 20 years we’ve been recruiting foster carers to provide stable homes to young people who may not be able to live with their birth families.

We need foster carers now more than ever before. Children are in need of foster carers in Stockport, Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.

We pride ourselves on the support we give to our carers and, as a charity, we don’t make a profit. The money we make is invested back into the fostering service, to provide the best possible support for our foster carers and, most importantly, the young people in their care.

Our Together Trust head office is located at Schools Hill, Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 1JE

Our mission is to champion the rights, needs and ambitions of the people we support - they are at the heart of everything we do. We stand by them and we work together for change.

Are you considering becoming a foster carer?

We are delighted to receive a ‘Good’ rating following a recent Ofsted inspection!

Our fostering service has been running for over 20 years, alongside our residential and short break services.

Following our recent Ofsted visit the report heaped praised on our charity’s foster carers, emphasising the positive relationships they have built with the children in their care. It stated: ‘Children live in nurturing, safe and stimulating homes. They enjoy loving, reliable and trusting relationships with their foster carers. They develop a strong sense of belonging and very much feel part of the family.’
